How to use PrivaZer
PrivaZer follows the same pattern every time: pick what to scan, review the report, clean. This guide walks through a first cleanup and the options worth knowing afterwards.
1. Choose what to scan
When PrivaZer starts, it asks what you want to work on: the whole computer, a specific drive, a USB device, the registry, or one of the focused options such as free space or the file table. For a first run, scan the computer.
2. Run the scan
The scan reads your system without deleting anything. On a large or long-unused drive the first pass can take a while, especially if free-space analysis is included. Later scans are faster because areas already cleared are skipped.
3. Read the report and choose
The report is grouped by category, with the size of each one. This is the step that matters: uncheck anything you want to keep, such as cookies for sites where you stay signed in, or browsing history you still use. Everything that stays checked is what gets cleaned.
4. Clean
PrivaZer then performs the cleanup and reports how much space was freed. You can re-run a scan afterwards to confirm the result.
5. Options worth knowing
- Scheduling - run a cleanup automatically each week or month, or at shutdown.

Do I need administrator rights?
Administrator rights let PrivaZer reach system areas such as Windows temporary folders and the registry. Without them, the scan covers only your user profile.
Can I undo a cleanup?
Cleaned data is overwritten and cannot be restored, which is the point of the tool. Registry changes can be restored from the backup PrivaZer offers to create.
